CraMS
Description:
CraMS is a classroom management software. It creates either (or both) an Excel (2004, 2008, 2011) or Numbers (version 2.x)
spreadsheet with all the students. The spreadsheet created can be customized for any course and grading criteria.
You can enter 13 different graded activities plus attendance, midterm and final exams.
The grade type and ranges are also customizable. That is, you can choose the +/- or pure letter grades.
You can also select to drop the lower grade of some activities.
Once you entered the weights of the grades for each activity and the criteria you use to assign a given grade (for instance 88% is a B+) all the grades are computed automatically for you.
There are safeguards to prevent errors, for instance, if the weights do not add to 100% you will be alerted and the spread sheet will not be created.
An attendance sheet is also created and it only uses the dates that you are teaching. It can be everyday, only Tuesdays, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, etc.
It also skips the holidays...
CraMS also remembers the the courses that have been created and will fill out some of the data automatically. This, however, can be overwritten.
NOTE I:
This application has to be customized to your school. That is, I would need to see the page of your school where you get the roster from your classes. I don't need to see an actual page but what it looks like, so as to import all names to the spreadsheet. Once this is done, the only thing you need is to fill some fields and copy the page of your roster and press a button.Extras
